Discovering and experiencing project management

The Concours KGP is an interuniversity case competition in the field of project management. It is looking to involve undergraduate and graduate students at the master level in a rewarding opportunity to discover and experience this dynamic field of study. By the extend of their expertise, but mostly of their soft skills, the participants will need to solve a case with particular challenges that are experienced by project management professionals. In doing so, they will need to present their solution of the case to project management professionals here in Montreal. For its 9th edition, the organizing committee will work tirelessly in order to make everyone taking part in the Concours KGP shine through this wonderful learning experience.

With the PMI Montreal (Project Management Institute) as our official collaborator, the Concours KGP is the largest project management competition in Eastern Canada. It certainly is the event not to be missed this fall.

Is the Concours KGP case competition in English, French or both?

The Concours KGP is a bilingual case competition, which means some teams will do it completely in french and other students representing english universities totally in english. It is to be noted that the case will be presented to students in their native language and the pitch/presentation will also be conducted in the language of their choice as well as the powerpoint that needs to be done to present at each round.

See previous question.

Do you foresee any additional expenses that would need to be covered by the team?

For teams coming outside of the greater Montreal region there are some fees to consider, for exemple transportation, accomodation and meal before or after the case competition.

When will the competition schedule be available?

All teams converge to l'université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) at the same time on the day of the event. However the actual schedule with the teams will only be made available to participants the day of (and with secret names i.e: ABC555) as the judges cannot know which teams are from which universities.
